the hookup

It seems that every time someone learns that I have a hookup in Nintendo, they want me to "help" them with Christmas. While I'm more than happy to help a few of them, the sheer number of requests is a bit overwhelming. I did go to the Nintendo store at their Redmond office today...it was also my first visit to the museum thingy. Needless to say, I was a bit in geek heaven -- I was having a lot of memories from my childhood resurface. I thoroughly enjoyed it, especially seeing the older stuff and in general, all of the non-public stuff that is sitting around in people's cubes and offices.

I never got to play a Virtual Boy back when they were originally out, but I did get to play one today...tennis, in fact. I was actually kind of amazed at how well the goggles can trick your brain into thinking there is something actually 3D going on on those tiny little screens. I played for a while and after that said while, my head started working. I think it was all the red.

Back to "hooking" people up -- for one person I have supposedly "saved Christmas". I really hope his kids are happy :)
